Chanel: the looks of her show at Paris Fashion Week

Chanel on Tuesday put camellias on women’s dresses, shoes or buttonholes at his Paris Fashion Week show. ORa gigantic camellia, traditional winter flower and one of the favorites of the French house, dominated the catwalk, simple and austere in its conception.
“More than a theme, camellia is an eternal house code”, explains Virginie Viard, Chanel’s artistic director, in the written presentation of the show, held at the Grand Palais in Paris.
“It is reassuring and familiar. I like its sweetness and its strength,” explains the creator, who greeted the guests at the end of the parade with a black sweater with camellias on the sleeves.
The flower is declined in embroidery, prints or in accessories in the hair of the models.
The jackets combined with Bermuda shorts and white socks is another of the recurring elements of this collection, dominated by black and white, with hints of pink and burgundy red in the flowers.
Chanel is also jumping on the balaclava trend, which has been seen on several runways this season. Her proposal is based on pearls, in the luxury tradition of the house.
The masculine nod comes in the form of notched-lapel jackets and floral-patterned coats, reminiscent of dandies’ housecoats.

The embroideries on the sleeves and the shiny accessories gave a different touch to the collection, like those glasses that light up and enhance the face.
