Paris /

The Eiffel Tower will host various events to commemorate the centenary of the death of its creator, gustave eiffel (1832-1923), announced Thursday those responsible for the Parisian monument and the engineer’s descendants.

Between May and November, visitors to the metal tower will be able to enjoy cultural events and shows, including a immersive exhibition in which a digital Gustave Eiffel shows you the history of its construction.

During the summer an exhibition will be inaugurated in the atrium of the monument and in the autumn, The woman of iron will host a show that will combine electronic music and digital art.

The French Post Office will also issue a commemorative stamp from March 27.

Building a 300m-high tower in the heart of Paris at the end of the 19th century, the largest tower in the world at that time, is an incredible challenge, on the order of science fiction,” explained Jean-François Martins, president of the public company that manages the tower.
