The Barracks Cavern

The grotto or cavern of the barracks is a natural construction made up of vegetation, stalactites, trees and various very peculiar animals such as: bats.

This cavern was formed thousands of years ago in the municipality of Aldama, in the state of Tamaulipas. This natural site will fascinate you with its stalactites that reach up to 15 meters long.

You will live a fascinating experience when you enter and tour this cavern that is located in the Aldama-Soto La Marina highway where you must stay for 26 km.

At this point you must be very careful because the access to the common El Nacimiento is not very visible. Once you turn left follow the dirt road for 14 km, when you reach the ranch called La Azufrosa you will have arrived.

The Zacaton

According to National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi)El Zacatón is the deepest cenote in Mexico, it has a natural tunnel that measures approximately 300 meters deep.

This cenote is located around a large area of ​​low jungle where the predominant vegetation is grass, hence the name of this cavity. The climate here is generally warm, ideal for enjoying the place.

This cenote that is located in the municipality of Aldama, Tamaulipas, is part of a system of five interconnected natural formations.

The wall
